SSI Specialty Programs

Once you’re certified, specialty programs are how you tailor your diving to what you love. Each one is a focused 2-4 dive course on a specific topic, ending in a certification.

We regularly run:

• Deep Diver (to 40 metres)
• Enriched Air Nitrox (longer bottom times)
• Digital Underwater Photography
• Digital Videography
• Perfect Buoyancy (the one every photographer should take first)
• Underwater Naturalist
• Fish Identification
• Night Diver
• Wreck Diver
• Search and Recovery
• Underwater Navigator
• Drift Diver

Most 2-dive specialties wrap up in a single day. Stack three together with your Open Water and Stress & Rescue, and you’ve earned your Master Diver rating — SSI’s top recreational qualification.

What it costs

• Standard 2-dive specialty (Drift, Wreck, Night, Navigation, Perfect Buoyancy, etc.) — 2,900,000 IDR
• Deep Diver (3 dives to 40 m) — 3,850,000 IDR
• Enriched Air Nitrox (2 dives) — 2,900,000 IDR
• Enriched Air Nitrox — theory only, no dives (certification included) — 1,950,000 IDR

You may have searched for “PADI Specialty Courses Gili Air”. We’ve moved fully to SSI certification — but our instructors hold both PADI and SSI ratings, and the two agencies’ specialty courses are recognised interchangeably worldwide. Identical training, same depth limits, different paperwork. Bibi, our founder, was a PADI IDC Staff for many years before becoming an SSI Instructor Trainer in 2013; almost everyone on the team is dual-rated. Same dive, different card.
