SSI Divemaster

The SSI Divemaster is the first professional rating in recreational diving — and your gateway to working in the industry anywhere in the world.

You’ll spend four to eight weeks living the dive-centre life on Gili Air. Some days you’ll assist on courses, others you’ll lead certified divers, and most days you’ll log dives at sites you’ll never tire of. By the end you’ll think differently about diving — about other people’s air, gear, attitudes, fears — and your own confidence will be in a different league.

What’s included

The SSI certification fee (4,500,000 IDR) is billed separately at the end of your internship, payable once your dives, exams and workshops are all signed off.

You may have searched for “PADI Divemaster Gili Air”. We’ve moved fully to SSI certification — but our instructors hold both PADI and SSI ratings, and the two agencies’ professional courses are recognised interchangeably worldwide. Identical training, same depth limits, different paperwork. Bibi, our founder, was a PADI IDC Staff for many years before becoming an SSI Instructor Trainer in 2013; almost everyone on the team is dual-rated. Same dive, different card.
